Valheim needs to be consistent with its teleportation mechanics and give a reason why some metal goes through and others do not or else its just a "♥♥♥♥ you" mechanic.

A big metal terminator needs to be covered in skin to time travel. The terminator franchise has a similar teleportation gimmick where metal ♥♥♥♥♥ the time machine up, but they work it into the story. That would mean the mechanic exists solely to inconvenience the player. So I assume their is no lore reason why we can't go through portals with metal or there wouldn't be this inconsistency.
